Prepare for snow!

The Hydrometeorological Prediction Center issues probability charts for snowfall. In this graphic, they believe there is at least a 40% probability of exceeding four inches of snow through Monday evening.

I am working on the snowfall forecast map. I detailed the main forecast elements on the weather page of wrex.com. I will have the maps here shortly. -ERIC

Will the snow stick right away? Or will there be melting on contact, due to the warm ground?

Well im nowhere close to a meteorologist.. but i think its been cold enough for long enough that it won't.

anyway 40% seems kind of low. The percentage chances that are used always seem pretty low to me though.
