What could be the strongest winter storm of the season is headed into the Midwest this weekend. As low pressure rapidly deepens, winds will increase adding more concern.
It does appear the cut-off for wintry precipitation will be along and just south of I-80. Along the I-88 corridor, freezing rain and sleet will be problematic during the day on Saturday. Further north, along the US 20 corridor and north, the attention is mainly on snow potential.
It appears there is a possibility of this becoming a die-hard midwestern blizzard...complete with 40mph winds and white-out conditions. Sunday will be the blizzard day as this thing gets wound up on Saturday. Some areas, especially along the US 20 corridor, northward could receive up to one foot of snow (with drifts several times higher). All necessary travel should be complete by early afternoon Saturday. -ERIC

What is the chance that we could see blizzard warnings or anything out of this storm? And is it possible schools could be cancelled for Monday because of the storm or do you think most of it will be cleared up by the time for school on Monday?
