First signs of Spring!

Elwood (Woody) Mott of Oregon, Illinois sent us some magnificent pictures of bald eagles that he shot between February 6th and 10th near the Rock River dam at Oregon. He says there are about 15 eagles there this year!

Shirley Ryan of Oregon said "Last Sunday on my way to church I counted 11 bald eagles in trees near the bridge in Oregon. Then at church, someone announced that they had counted 17 eagles near the bridge AND then told about having a large flock of robins in a tree next to her driveway. The tree was just loaded with robins. I checked it out after church and they were still there, apparently eating berries or seeds in that tree. I just had a call from another friend who was out hiking and she and her husband saw a small flock of bluebirds."

I don't know about you, but I am ready for winter to end...apparently our fine-feathered-friends are as well! -ERIC
