ALERT: All rural roads in Rock County are closed from 6pm Friday night to 4am Saturday. Plows have been pulled off of all roadways (except for I-39/90 and I-43).
ALERT: Argyle Road (Winnebago County) closed.
Road conditions within our area towns and cities will be passable because the buildings will create blockers for the wind. Snow removal has been an impossible task on area roads Friday. Wind gusts in excess of 40mph created very high drifts on north-south roads. Icy roads are to blame for dozens of accidents, mainly along and north of US Highway 20.
Conditions will be very dangerous on rural roads tonight, not only in Rock County! Don't be caught out in the white-out conditions after dark! Use your best judgement before heading out tonight. -ERIC
