From the National Weather Service:As of 2pm CDT...Rockford had reached a temperature of 71 degrees. This breaks the previous record high temperature record for March 13th of 70 degrees set in 1995. Daytime heating is still occurring...so this high temperature will likely rise before the end of the day.
