As this beautiful weekend comes to an end, there is a slight risk for some severe storms to occur Sunday night. As a cold front moves through the area, there is a chance for some thunderstorms to pop up along the front. The nice thing about these storms is that they probably won't occur until after 10PM, and they should be over by the early morning hours on Monday. So, there is no worry about ruined plans for Sunday as long as they aren't after 10PM. The strongest storms will occur during the peak heating hours of the day (2pm to 6pm) on a line stretching from Omaha, NE to Des Moines, IA to La Crosse, WI.Sunday's temperature will be up around 80, and there won't be much of a temperature drop for Monday as the front comes through. Temperatures for Monday will be around 70, but later on in the week things will cool off a little bit.

Hey Amanda,
I really enjoy your posts to the WREX Weather Blog.
How about posting Amanda's photo and a brief resume/bio along with Eric, Adam and Candace here on the weather blog. I think she's doing an excellent job and would like to see her photo and resume paragraph too.
I'm with you. She has done an excellent job thus far, and I will work on her getting her face plastered on this blog!
