The Rockford Register Star and WREX-TV have combined to form "The Power of Two". These two media outlets help eachother to make one another better.There was another couple of forces that combined today to create some heat across the Stateline. We saw wall-to-wall sunshine today that allowed our air to heat up rapidly. In addition to heating up the air at the surface, we had some warm air advection at work. Southerly winds were bringing in even warmer air. We started out this morning with a temperature of 43 degrees, but with these two factors at work we saw a 35 degree temperature swing. Quite amazing if you ask me.
We will see this scenario repeat itself for Sunday. With lows only falling into the low 50s tonight, expect an even warmer day for tomorrow! -ADAM
