The Return of Old Man Winter?

If you've stepped outside today, you know what I'm talking about. It feels more like February 4th than April 4th. Winds will be sustained between 20 and 30 mph gusting to 45 mph.

The reason for the blustery conditions is a tight pressure gradient that has a strong storm spinning north of Michigan and an arctic area of high pressure residing over central Canada. The closer the isobars are in the image to the left, the stronger the wind speeds will be. Also, from the image you can tell the direction of the winds. Wind directions usually run parallel to the isobars. Therefore, today we will be contending with blustery northwest winds. The squeeze play will stay on us through Thursday. -ADAM
