River Flood Warnings
Water continues to rise on area rivers! The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Rock River. Water levels will surpass flood stage during the next few days. In fact, the Rock River at Afton, Wisconsin will go nearly a foot and a half above flood stage. According to the National Weather Service, when the water level reaches 10.5 feet Riverside Park in Janesville is flooded as well as low-lying homes in the Janesville area. Basements in Beloit are flooded when the water level reaches 10.5 feet in Beloit. If the water reaches 11.0 feet, this would be considered a "ten year flood." -ERIC

Just a follow-up to Eric's posting from yesterday. The flood warning for the Rock River in Rockton has been cancelled. In addition, no flooding is occurring or is expected on the Pecatonica River in Freeport.
The flood warning for the Rock River in Afton continues until further notice.
