Storms Rage Through the Plains

Severe weather continues to move through Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Iowa this evening. Some places that saw severe weather Friday afternoon and evening have experienced severe weather once again today!

There have been over 80 reports of tornadoes so far Saturday with many more likely through the overnight. Unfortunately the Plain States look to be on tap again for severe weather Sunday afternoon as a very slow moving upper level low continues to spin along the Rockies. It won't be until Monday evening when that system finally pushes off to the east and things quiet down.

With high pressure building south Sunday afternoon, this will block any of the severe weather from making it into the Great Lakes. Gusty east/southeast winds will keep storms confined to western Iowa and points westward.

Our next chance for rain and storms will come Tuesday through Thursday of next week.-CANDY
