This week's rain potential

Jessica from Lena posted a comment on one of our recent posts and talked about the much-needed rainfall needed for area farmers.

Here's a look at the National Weather Service plot for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday as far as rainfall amounts. The color key at the left hand side shows the accumulated amounts. Most of the heavy rainfall will come with thunderstorms in the Northern Plains on Tuesday, as well as a frontal boundary from Iowa to Oklahoma on Wednesday.

As we head into Thursday and Friday, rainfall will again be concentrated in the nation's mid section. This could fuel more flooding concerns along the flooded Missouri River. For us, nothing too heavy...let's just hope we can actually get these showers and storms to materialize! -ERIC
