Weak Chances For the Week

Like Eric said previously there is some rain on the way, but not a whole lot. When a major rainmaker is set to hit we raise the chances into the likely category. We cannot do that anytime over the next three days. We cannot even raise them into the scattered category, because the dynamics just aren't there for widespread thunderstorms.

Take a look at the surface map across the Midwest as of 8am this morning. A stationary front is resting directly overhead, but very little activity has sprouted. One of the reasons for this is the lack of a temperature disparity from west of the front to east of the front. The lack of a major clash in temperatures has caused a fairly stable atmosphere, which is why the thunderstorm activity around here should be sparse for the next 3 days. -ADAM
