As we head into the weekend and the beginning of the next work week, our winds will be changing direction. The image on the left shows that for Wednesday and Thursday of this week, our winds were mainly out of the east. This caused the temperatures to be a bit on the cool side. As we head into next week, the winds will change and come from the south instead. This will help bring in warm, moist air from the Gulf of Mexico. With winds coming from the south, the temperatures will easily climb into the 80s. Along with the warm temperatures though, the chance for some storms also increases. So far though, the storms look like they won't roll in until Monday night. That still gives everybody a chance to go out and enjoy the warm weather.-Amanda (13 Weather Intern)
