Confirmed Tornado in Jo Daviess County

Here is a look at the possible track of today's tornado in Jo Daviess County. The first reports of damage came in around Bellvue, Iowa around 2:30pm. Law enforcement reported a tornado on the ground 2 miles south of Scales Mound...then 2 miles west of Apple River.

Thankfully no one was injured and damage is limited. It's interesting to see how the more populated areas were spared. There are many historic homes in Galena and luxurious estates in Galena Territory. The National Weather Service will survey the damage path in the coming days and provide us with a rating on the EF scale in a few days. -ERIC
