Severe thunderstorms (at 3:00pm) over NW Iowa will continue moving east-southeast during the late afternoon and evening. The SPC has put a moderate risk of severe out for Eastern Iowa through midnight. I am expecting these storms to move in here after 9 or 10pm (perhaps later). Our atmosphere still contains some minor instability. I wouldn't be surprised if we get some storms to pop during the evening, but it looks more likely that the main event will be after the sun sets tonight. -ERIC

do you think this storm will hit us pretty hard overnight with damaging winds? and overnight will there likely be a thunderstorm watch or warning?
- THANKS
can this storm produce a tornado?
I am not impressed with our severe potential right now. The tornado threat is non-existent (even though there were a half dozen twisters in IA earlier). -ERIC
