For those of you that do not enjoy the hottest that Rockford has to offer, I have some good news. The past two days plus today are on average the hottest days of the year. The average high temperature over those three days is 84°. After today, our average high temperature will start going in the opposite direction. The downward decline is a slow one, with the average high staying in the 80s through August 25th.The warmest our average low temperature gets is 63°. It stays at this average for a much longer period of time, basically a 30 day period.
On the back side of this rainmaker that affected us all work week long, our temperatures will be staying below average for the next three days. No need for the air conditioner... at least for now. -ADAM
