Low temperatures in the 50-55° range in middle July are quite rare. That's the territory we'll be in for the weekend. Even with sunshine during the afternoons, the nights will be very chilly. Having said that, our pleasant Canadian high pressure will go away by early next week allowing a chunk of freshly baked air to move in from the Southwestern US. Look for widespread highs in the 90s. There are some indications this could be the warmest of the season. (I've said that in the past so we'll just keep the lower 90s going for now). -ERIC
