Wouldn't it be nice if we could keep the weather we had this past weekend going for the rest of the summer? Unfortunately, that's not how mother nature works. For the next couple of days, a cut-off low (a low that isn't attached with the jetstream) will develop and move into the Ohio River Valley. As it does, it should push the extreme heat to the west. While temperatures are expected to warm into the upper 80s, and you can expect the humidity to come with it as well, the 90s should hold off at least until next week. I say at least because towards the end of the week, the low will finally get a push and move off to the east. As it does, we will be in northwest flow towards the weekend. If our winds stay from the northwest, temperatures shouldn't warm that much. However, if the winds shift a little more to the west, the heat that has been building out there will move here and we could see the 90s return.

Heat holds off for now
