A weak cool front will swing our way on Saturday, but before you cancel your outdoor plans hear me out. The two graphics above are 6 hour precipitation plots between 1pm & 7pm tomorrow afternoon.
This is typically when most folks are out and about on the weekends. Notice one set of data wants to keep Rockford dry, while the other paints in very minimal amounts of rainfall. The atmosphere is quite dry right now and even if some showers do pop up, don't expect them to last very long. Our 13Microcast is indicating that less than an 1/8 of an inch of rain will fall. Most outdoor plans should be good to go for Saturday. -ADAM
