On the 4th of July we hit a high temperature of 87 degrees. Today's high will be near 86 degrees, with a high fairly similar on Friday. At first glance, you would think the weather will feel exactly the same, but that will not be the case.Remember that the dew point is a measure of the amount of moisture in the atmosphere. A closer inspection reveals that dew points were in the upper 60s yesterday. That is why it felt so muggy on Independence Day. Dew points are falling as I type and should drop into the upper 50s by this afternoon. That will make today's high in the mid-80s seem much more comfortable. -ADAM
