The skies over Rockford have been quiet for much of our Tuesday. That will change however. A warm front lies right on top of the region. Storms are expected to develop along the front, especially over Northeastern Iowa. The second graphic shows the moisture convergence along the front. The higher the number, the greater the chance of storm initiation. I expect to have something on the radar screens around 10pm tonight and we'll know where the storms will track. We remain in a slight risk of severe weather tonight with some very large hail possible, as well as gusty winds, heavy rains, and an isolated tornado (mainly west in Iowa). -ERIC
