Want more storms?

I don't know about you, but it would be fine by me if our weather pattern slowed down a bit. I spent nearly 7 hours of my day today without power after last night's severe thunderstorms. Hopefully you didn't have much to clean up today.

We'll be fairly quiet tonight. Other than an outside shot of storms south and west of Rockford, most areas will stay fairly dry.

As low pressure develops in Iowa (on an east-northeast track) storms will develop and move into the Rockford metro once again. A few storms could be severe Wednesday afternoon with damaging winds, hail, heavy rain, and isolated tornadoes. We will continue to monitor all of the weather models this evening and tomorrow morning. -ERIC

So, the storms won't be a night time occurance, just in the afternoon for Wednesday? BTW, here in Lena we got 6 tenths of an inch of rain from the storm EARLY this a.m.

I'll take some of your rain here in St. Louis! Yesterday we broke a record with 103, and today is forecasted at 107. It hasn't rained here in weeks and everything is burning up.
