How about some "true cold" weather?
The Climate Prediction Center has released its latest 8-14 Day Outlook (which takes us beyond the 7 Day Outlook). If you're looking for some real fall weather, here it comes! Long-range computer models are also hinting at 40s and 50s for high temperatures for a good chunk of next week (and even the following week). Last week's cold weather wasn't a true "pattern change" from the warm and dry month of September. What we're seeing now may signal a more significant change that will take us into November. I will try to post a few more updates this week on the progress of the cold. Stay tuned! -ERIC

OK GUYS, WHERE'S GRETCHEN'S PICTURE? DON'T YOU THINK WE SHOULD SEE THE PERSON SENDING US OUR FORECAST? BY THE WAY, I'D LIKE TO MAKE AN ORDER, FOR THE WINTER MONTHS TO BE JUST AS WONDERFUL AS THE LAST FEW DAYS/NIGHTS HAVE BEEN. PUT MY ORDER IN QUICK!
Gretchen's picture should be up in the coming week or two. We are all still in training mode right now. She is very smart when it comes to learning our weather system...and comes with a wealth of knowledge. She did weather for our sister station WAND-TV in Decatur, IL.
We are working on our 2007/2008 Winter Forecast. It takes a lot of work, but we should have it put together in the next few weeks.
