Umbrella Needed Occasionally

A very slow moving storm system is sitting in between Omaha and Kansas City this morning. Its path will take it into Michigan by Tuesday night. During this time frame showers cannot be ruled out. The reasoning is that this area of low pressure causes so much instability that it doesn't take much for clouds and showers to form. Under an area of low pressure the winds converge at the surface, which causes the air to rise. This lifting mechanism is what we look for when predicting rain. Due to the lack of summer-like heat, severe weather is not expected in the near future. -ADAM
