Pesky Flurries

There are still some lingering flurries across the area this morning. The reason why there is no image to show of the snow is that radar scans are struggling to pick up on this activity. It seems as though there is just enough snow to create a bit of an icy glaze on the roads. Sean Henry on B103 said that he has heard from many of his listeners that Highway 20 between Winnebago and Freeport is especially slick.

The cloud cover and flurries should depart just before lunch today. That will pave the way for a pleasant afternoon with lots of blue sky. High temperatures today will be parked around 37° by 4pm, which is still cooler than normal for this time of year. -ADAM

Yep, it is very lightly snowing here at my house. Some nice big flakes, but nothing major. I noticed on the unreliable weather channel, there was a little area that showed up right over loves park. I know yesterday when I was driving to work, there were areas where there was no snow then after I got over the riverside bridge, the snow just came down in earnest until about rockton avenue.

Looking out my window in DeKalb, my untreated road is snow covered, and I'll have to brush off my car windows before I leave for lunch.
