Canada's Prime Prognosticator

Punxsutawney Phil makes a prediction in Pennsylvania on Groundhog Day (February 2nd), which is in regards to how much longer winter is supposed to last. Canada has a groundhog of their own that makes a prognostication on the exact same day except this one is albino. His name is Wiarton Willie. He resides in the town of Wiarton, which is approximately 130 miles northwest of Toronto in the province of Ontario. The monument to the right stands year round explaining the significance. Willie's slogan is, "If Candlemas Day is bright and clear, there will be two winters in the year". -ADAM
