Chugga-chugga choo-choo!
All aboard the Cold Air Express! The weather pattern we're in is pretty much the same as if atmospheric railroad tracks crossed right over the Midwest. We keep getting these bursts of chilly air to ride along the same path over and over. Until that changes, we won't be able to usher in significantly warmer air.
Yes, I do have a day with 40s in the 7-Day. It's a one-day deal, though. Which isn't surprising, I suppose - trying to move railroad tracks isn't very easy to do.
Also, Winter Weather Week starts tomorrow. We have a quiz question for each newscast - that's a total of 28! In addition, we've expanded our weather page to include a smorgasbord of winter weather information. Just look for the "13 Winter Weather Authority" and "Severe Weather Resources" banners.
