So, it's that time of year when we need to have a talk about your indoor humidity.On every weathercast, Adam, Justin, and I give the relative humidity outdoors. However, that is nowhere near the humidity inside your home. When the temperature is 15°F and the humidity is 75% outside, once you heat that air to 70°F inside the humidity drops to 10%. Ideally the humidity indoors should be around 30%.
Here's an easy way to check your indoor humidity. Drop three ice cubes into a glass of water and stir. Wait three minutes. If moisture does not form on the outside of the glass, the air is too dry; you may need a humidifier. (Do not perform this test in the kitchen, because cooking vapors may produce inaccurate results.)

I would try that but we don't have an ice maker in our refrigerator. But I like this formula. It sounds cool.
