Snow Advisory in effect for Wednesday Night
















Snow is expected to develop across the Rock River Valley Wednesday night into early Thanksgiving. Initially, much of this snow will be melting upon impact for the evening commute but should overcome the melting during the overnight hours. I am going to keep the forecast maps the same as last night with a general 1-3 inches for the Rockford metro with a 4 inch report along I-88 by early Thanksgiving morning. Travel will be impacted, mainly during the overnight hours. Road crews will be working on the roadways early Thursday so if you have travel plans the safe bet would be to take care of them during the late afternoon Wednesday or late-morning/early afternoon of Thanksgiving.

This isn't going to be a monumental storm, but special care and consideration should be made during this high-travel time.
