Significant Shift South
During the first 11 days of December we have seen one potent storm system after another impact the Stateline. The bullseye was certainly on us yesterday with that ice storm. It seems as though we all may get a break from the volatile conditions as our weather pattern is about to make a major change. The storm track (jet stream) will be sliding south for the next seven days. This is going to cause the energy in the atmosphere to move from the Rocky Mountains into Arkansas before moving towards the New England area. For example, a strong Nor'easter is poised to devastate the east coast on Sunday. Outside of a few flurries tonight and on Saturday it is going to be pretty dry around the region. I think it is safe to say that you can hang up the snow shovel for awhile. -ADAM
