People who live along the Rock and Pecatonica are probably breathing a sigh of relief. The rain tonight and tomorrow certainly won't help the high water, but we won't be getting so much that major flooding will be an imminent concern.Big rainfall totals are out there, though. Eastern Iowa has picked up at least an inch of rain in most locations, and I'm seeing several reports of 2-3". Fortunately, all that heavy rain won't be happening here. We'll just have to deal with intermittent rain through tomorrow. Sunday is looking a whole lot nicer.
I also thought it'd be interesting to take a look at our highs over the past two weeks and then for the week ahead. It sure has been a very up-and-down month... this last week, in particular! We saw highs in the lower 40s last weekend, following by a midweek warm surge into the mid-70s!
