First and foremost, a happy Memorial Day for all of the veterans across the Stateline. Your hard work has not gone unnoticed. For those heading to one of the morning parades, I see no problems on the horizon early on. This afternoon could be a bit of a different scenario. A few storms could easily sprout later today with so much moisture still in the atmosphere and the cold front sliding through. If you are headed to Pecatonica, make sure you have a plan B if the skies start turning dark.The SPC has a slight risk of severe weather out for all locations along and south of Interstate 88 for this afternoon and evening. Whether you are grilling burgers and brats, or steaks and chops we will monitor the situation as we wear through the last day of this 3 day weekend.
