No Heatwave in Sight

Recently the popular question from viewers has been, "when are we going to finally warm up?" Other than one or two sporadic days, we've been stuck in a cooler than normal weather pattern for quite awhile. Don't hold your breath hoping for an extended warmup. If you do, you will likely turn blue in the face while you wait.

Today's seven day outlook has below average high temperatures on it for every single day. These 6 to 10 day outlooks showcase the temperature trends and the precipitation trends for May 19-23 (the next work week). As you can see with a northwesterly flow in the jet stream, cool Canadian air is going to continue to funnel into the region. On the other hand, this setup in the atmosphere will cut off the Gulf of Mexico moisture and keep our precipitation below normal levels. Eric & Justin went a step further yesterday and looked at where the thermometers would be sitting over Memorial Day weekend. Their findings show below average temperatures for the unofficial start to summer. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any evidence to disagree with them. -ADAM

Bring the heat already! But I can't complain if its in the 60s with sun and no wind. It was pretty nice today. Do you plan on doing a forecast for June July and August just like you did for the winter? If I recall the forecast was fairly accurate.
