Playing the Percentages

After taking Calculus 1, 2, 3, and Differential Equations in college I am a guy who likes to wrap his mind around numbers. Therefore, I figured I would break down the percentages for your house running into rain tomorrow night. The areas that are most likely going to run into showers and storms lie just to our north and just to our south. I don't expect widespread storms with this cold front, meaning that the coverage looks partially limited. I would describe them more as scattered in nature. Therefore, I would stick the rain chance at 40% that your backyard rain gauge has its cobwebs cleaned. That should tell you there is still a good chance, but it is not a definite at this point. Further good news to share (unless you are a storm chaser) is that our severe weather threat with this next rainmaker is quite low. -ADAM

I am almost wondering if the non severe weather this spring so far has anything to do with la nina sticking around. It seems with la nina still around, the cooler air is still invading us and keeping the severe weather away. Eric or justin or adam, do u think we will more active storms when this la nina leaves later this spring.

You don't have turbo cobweb spinning hyper-spiders in your backyard? Must be just mine... :-)
