Make it Stop!

Whenever we get into a soggy weather pattern people always tell me to "make it stop!" If there was a switch to flip, I would have already done it. Thankfully, Mother Nature will be turning off the faucet in the near future. A couple of light showers should linger through the morning hours, but by this afternoon we should be under dry skies.

The graphic to the left recaps the rainfall that has hit the Stateline over the past week. Remember when I showed you the graphic about June being the wettest month of the year? During June we usually pick up 4.80" of rain. We have gotten doused with almost 4" of rain in just the past week! Yesterday's mark of 2.19" set a record for June 8th. With so much rain recently, area rivers are going to start rising significantly. This is something to monitor closely, especially if you reside in a flood prone location. -ADAM
