Rumbles returning

Thunderstorms have developed out to our west this afternoon. They'll spread eastward overnight tonight... so your alarm clock might not be the first thing that wakes you tonight. We are heading into that time of the season where nocturnal thunderstorm complexes are fairly common, by the way.

Monday and Tuesday will host the chance for occasional showers and thunderstorms. We're under a slight risk of severe weather both days, with the main threat being gusty winds. Also, with copious moisture in place, some of the storms will be rather efficient rainfall producers. Locally heavy rainfall is possible.

Hi Justin, Do you think the rain will hold off until after 10:30 this evening for Dixon?

Looks like 10:30 will still be dry. Storms are still off towards Waterloo, so they won't be here until after midnight.

'Tis the season for nighttime thunderstorms! Thank goodness for being a heavy sleeper.
