Update 12:20 PM
: Some cells are trying to develop out in eastern Iowa. They are weak at this time, but they do bear some monitoring. The atmosphere is plenty juicy with the latest observation at RFD reporting 82° over a dew point of 69°. The atmosphere should destabilize rapidly this afternoon. The watch is set to expire at 4pm, but the entire event won't be done by then. We won't be in the clear until after sunset tonight. Eric and Justin will have the live chat up and running by 2pm this afternoon to give you the latest analysis on today's severe weather risk.
