Time to Save some Cash!

I don't know about you, but I've been running my air conditioner a lot recently. My utility bill for the month of July was twice as high as it typically is, and I am fearing that my August bill will be even bigger. I turned the switch to off before I left for work this morning, and I don't think I will have to flick it back on anytime in the near future.

Mother Nature is hooking us up with some free air conditioning today on northerly winds at 10-20 mph. Today's temperatures will be a far cry from the 93° we tallied yesterday.

Unfortunately, along with the cooler airmass will be a wet weather pattern that we will have to endure. Rainfall totals today should stay at less than 1/4" in most locations. Tomorrow is setting up to be the dreary day. Eric typed about the potential for some heavy rainfall yesterday. None of the National Weather Service offices have issued any flash flood advisories yet, but that could change depending upon how Gustav's remnants pan out. With an all day rain event in the offing, we won't see much fluctuation in our temperatures on Thursday. High temperatures will be confined to the 60s. That sounds like a recipe for a warm blanket and a movie from the couch if you ask me... -ADAM
