Heavy Snow Possible

The Hydrometeorological Prediction Center has put out their latest forecast for the possibility of heavy snowfall Sunday night into Monday. If you click on the images to the left, you will see that Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin has a 70% chance of seeing at least 4 inches of snow and a 40% chance of seeing up to 8 inches. The next update will come out later this evening.- CANDY

Is it possible that stephenson county could see they upe end of 6''?, or not your models are different then one another

The models are different because the top one is probability of 4 inches and the 2nd is the probaility of 8 inches

thats not what im saying, i know that. Based on what she said tonight she was using two different models to get accumulation from. She stated that the accumulation was down, but were i live the chences of more accumulation intesified

Are you talking about just these 2 models here? cuz they show pretty much the same probability for the entire area.

It looks like Stephenson county could see between 4 and 6" of snow by Monday morning. What I wanted to point out with the maps was that more than likely Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin will pick up at least 4 inches of snow. The 8 inch probability map shows that while there is a smaller chance of seeing heavier snow, it still exists and that some places in the Stateline could pick up 8 inches.
