I've always been easily confused with that terminology. What the heck is a high-low temperature? And if there is one, could there be a low-high temperature?
Think of it this way: This morning's low temperature was 47°. Since we began taking records, January 5th has never had a warmer low temperature than 47°. Get it? That's the new record high-low temperature.
I bet you can guess what a record low-high temperature is now! That's when the high temperature for the day is colder than it's ever been.

9:00PM UPDATE - The old record will still stand as our temperatures have fallen into the lower 40s this evening! -ERIC
