Instability Overhead

Right now a storm system is diving south through Minnesota and Wisconsin. Once this system reaches the Stateline it will significantly slow its pace, and almost stall out. The reason for this slow progression is a strong area of high pressure located over the deep south.

High pressure often controls the traffic in the atmosphere. Until this high weakens this storm system is going to sit and spin over our area. For this reason the atmosphere will remain unstable, and showers cannot be ruled out anytime over the next 60 hours. By Saturday night, the atmospheric flow will loosen and we should be able to wipe away this wet weather. -ADAM
