Watch Out West

All counties to the north and west of Jo Daviess County have been placed under a severe thunderstorm watch lasting until 7pm tonight. This means that the ingredients are in place for thunderstorm development, and the potential is there for some of them to become severe.

The motion of these storms has been in a southeasterly direction at around 30 miles per hour. This means that the Stateline is downstream and could very easily be placed under a severe thunderstorm watch later on this afternoon. -ADAM
