Depression forms; could threaten U.S. mainland next week

Tropical depression #4 has formed this morning out in the Atlantic Ocean. With top sustained winds of 35mph, it is already close to becoming a tropical storm. Should it gain 4mph in windspeed, we'll have "Dean" on our hands.

Current forecast models show a continued westward momentum with strengthening likely. The official forecast from the National Hurricane Center has a strengthening hurricane in the Caribbean Sea in five days. We will be closely watching this.
