Was just watching the weather channel(i know not the most dependable lol) but they are saying our area could see 4-6 inches of rain overnight tonight. Just wondering if that is true? If things have been updated? I've noticed alot of storm watches going up to, think we might get in a storm watch tonight?

My forecast for rain totals is on the main page in the post above this one.

Yes indeed, severe storm watches have been popping up all over the Midwest late this afternoon. As stated here in the past, the chance for severe weather (large hail, damaging winds) across the viewing area remains small. The chance for heavy rain remains high.

I spoke with my brother shortly after that was issued... He's in Palatine.. Says the sirens weren't going off and that it was sunny. He later called me back and said he *may* have heard a siren winding down from southern Palatine.
