Later today we stand at a slight risk of severe weather. It is a small chance for severe weather, but a chance nonetheless. With so much heat and moisture in the atmosphere it won't take much to spark a few thunderstorms. The main threat from this severe weather will be strong, straight line winds and heavy rainfall from time to time. The farther south you live in our viewing area the higher likelihood you have of experiencing some strong storms.
The best chance for widespread wet weather will come after sunset tonight. A large cluster of thunderstorms are highly likely. This could be a similar scenario to what we went through early Tuesday morning. Frequent lightning strikes and heavy downpours tonight have prompted a Flash Flood Watch during the overnight hours. Rainfall totals should range between 1 and 3 inches, which isn't nearly as extreme as what we saw yesterday. Although with how saturated the ground is, any additional rainfall will probably cause problems. -ADAM
