It certainly still feels like summer outside, but this picture doesn't resemble much of summer. This is a shot of the wave pool at Magic Waters. As you can see it is a sad and empty picture. Magic Waters has been closed since Labor Day, but with days like today a little splashing in a pool might feel good. Unfortunately, the pool in my apartment complex is similarly barren.
High temperatures today in Rockford are headed to 83°, which is typical during the middle of summer. That is actually the average high on July 23rd! The average high for September 23rd is 72°, which we surpassed by 10:30am. The record for today is 92°, which will stay standing. -ADAM
