Jet stream to let a low loose!

The great river of air on top of our atmosphere called the jet stream is the steering wheel for most storm systems. Later this week the jet stream will drop off a low and then surge north. This is what we term as a "cut off low." Think of a jet stream literally as a river. The low is basically an eddy within the stream that is away from the channel. Cut off lows like this are known for being pesky as they aren't progressive. With the low sitting to our west, we're right in line for some moisture off of the Gulf of Mexico. So, enjoy the sunshine on Tuesday as the clouds will be around for the majority of the week (into the weekend too).

Eric, I noticed that the wall behind the tight side shots of dani and eric are new. I think they looked snazzy. Is the weather center going to get a new look, or still the great look we have now. I predict our first trace of snow in the next two weeks. I hope I am just crazy.
