Update 10:45am = Rapid clearing is taking place in eastern Iowa. Some sunshine is already being seen near Galena and in southwestern Wisconsin. The back edge of the thick clouds should pass through Winnebago County shortly.

Original Post = Light to moderate snow is lingering across the Stateline. It should hang around through the late morning hours, but we will see the accumulating snow quit by lunchtime. Snowflakes will still be witnessed in the air this afternoon due to blowing and drifting snow. Wind speeds aren't too terrible right now, but by this afternoon they will swivel to a northwesterly direction and start howling at 15-30 mph. With such a fluffy, powdery snow on the ground it will be easily picked up and whipped around. Visibilities in most locations are manageable as of 8am, but they could drop below a half mile later today. Due to these rough travel conditions a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY continues for all of northern Illinois through the remainder of the day.Here are some snowfall totals, in order from most recent to oldest:
