Here is an update on snowfall totals from today and advisories:
Rock County: Beloit and Janesville= 4 inches
Jo Daviess County: Elizabeth=2.2 inches, Galena 2.5 inches.
Dekalb County: Dekalb=4.2 inches
Whiteside County: Sterling=5.8 inches. Very light Flurries continue to fall.
Peru County: La Salle=2.8 inches
Winnebago County: Rockford= 4.3 inches
Carroll County: Thomson= 4 inches. Light snow still falling.
McHenry County: 5.1 inches. Drifting and Blowing snow.
The Nationlal Weather Service out of the Quad Cities issued a Snow Advisory for Winnebago, Ogle, Lee, and Boone counties until noon tomorrow.
Moderate snow will gradually taper to light snow overnight with up to 2 more inches possible bringing snowfall totals between 3 and 6 inches.
In addition to snow packed roads and highways..northwest winds will strengthen late this evening into the overnight hours with gusts up to 30 miles per hour.
The results: reduced visibility and blowing snow.
This snow advisory means snow will cause travel difficulties. Use caution when driving.
IF you must travel...carry an extra flashlight...food...and water in your car in case of an emergency. And make sure your gas tank is full.

BELVIDERE IL. ---6.1 inches of snow not including other snowfall dates(just from today). Snow IS STILL continuing to fall lightly.
Just finished shoveling again...
Didn't measure it, sorry.
Its hard to remember that just a little over 2 weeks ago we were looking at bare ground.
I'm having trouble figuring out where to put the stuff already.
So, apparently, is the township, which seems to have a predilection for depositing it in people's already-shoveled driveways.
