All of the sunshine we witnessed the first three days of this work week will be fading away shortly as our weather pattern turns wet once more. The severe weather threat for Thursday afternoon sits well to the south of us over portions of Oklahoma and Texas. We won't be sitting in the warm sector tomorrow, and that will limit the amount of thunder we hear. Spotty showers look likely during the daytime hours on Thursday, but the heavy rain waits until after sunset. Showers should be fairly widespread tomorrow night with the soggy conditions continuing intermittently into Friday. The heavy rain threat diminishes late Friday night, with some light showers lingering into Saturday. Rainfall totals with this storm could approach one inch in some areas by the time it wraps up.Talking temperatures, we are in for a cooldown. With thick cloud cover, damp conditions, and more of an easterly component to our winds I expect the mercury to fall below average by the end of the work week. With the waters on Lake Michigan still rather cool this time of year, that airmass moving in on easterly winds probably will keep our highs in the 50s Friday and Saturday. Sorry to say it, but if you have some sporting events to get to the next couple of nights, you may run into a rainout. -ADAM
